Brembo is an Italian company dedicated to the design and production of high-performance brake systems and components for cars, motorcycles and commercial vehicles. Brembo was founded in 1961 by Emilio Bombassei and other partners in a small mechanical workshop near Bergamo. Thanks to its experience in the metallurgical and mechanical sectors, Brembo won important clients such as Alfa Romeo and Moto Guzzi. In 1975, Brembo achieved a historic milestone by supplying the brakes for Ferrari's Formula 1 single-seater. Since then, Brembo has been a leader in the world of racing, winning more than 600 titles in different categories. Brembo has also innovated in the development of technological products and processes, such as aluminium calipers and carbon discs in the 1980s. Today, Brembo has a global presence with 15,000 employees, 30 production plants, 8 R&D centers and a turnover of 3.629 billion euros in 2022.
